My relationship started with Japan in the 80s while visiting a small town in the countryside. From that time friendships were extended to me and on many occasions since, which has kept me enthralled in the language, culture and people of Japan.
I have been a teacher of Japanese for almost 20 years, for students from Kindergarten to Year 10. I currently teach at an all-boys’ school with Japanese the only language being taught. I continue sharing my passion at every opportunity.
